Every human being has value and worth. You must teach your children to honor and respect the uniqueness of each person. Although it might be difficult, help your kids to see the good in everyone.

You must remember that your children look up to you as an example. Kids learn how to become adults by looking at the grown-ups around them. Treat your children well. Don't allow them to feel overlooked or unimportant. Appreciate them and validate their existence.

Here are some suggestions that can help teach your children the ethic of respect:

• Take the time to have breakfast with your children every morning. Remember to talk and listen to your kids.
• Praise other people.
• Be demonstrative and vocal about your love.
• Take your children to visit the elderly.
• Visit your dearly departed in the cemetery and bring your children along.

The Second Golden Rule: "Be Heedful of Your Words; Do What Is Right"

The Ethic of Honesty

When you teach your children to be honest, you are also teaching them the value of trust. Do not break promises to your children. You might be surprised how a broken promise can affect them for the rest of their lives.
